Common problems in the treatment and use of PE protective film residue

The residual adhesive treatment method for PE protective film.
1. Human factors: Some people think that PE protective film looks like just a layer of plastic film, and any type of protective film can meet their product needs, or even just feel that it can be applied well. This is a very perfunctory view, and there are many professional knowledge about PE protective film, such as maintaining the cleanliness level of the equipment before the glass film. There should be no vegetable oil or organic chemical residue on the surface of the product, Otherwise, it is very easy to cause residues to react with strong adhesive, leading to problems such as adhesive opening and insufficient adhesion.
2. The internal elements of strong adhesive can be further divided into the following three points: ① the adhesive base is damaged, and there is a large amount of adhesive residue on the surface of the maintained product, which can be seen from the surface of the PE protective film. ② the cohesive force is damaged, and there is pressure sensitive adhesive on the surface and material of the maintained product, and the adhesive surface of the protective film is matte. ③ the transfer residue, and there is a small amount of pressure sensitive adhesive residue on the surface of the maintained product. The glossiness of the adhesive surface of the PE protective film remains stable.
3. Aging principle: The carbon chain of acrylic resin pressure-sensitive adhesive is in a saturated state, and the general heat is difficult to cause the main chain to break down. The aging principle is mainly ultraviolet light aging, and the aging of the board is also mainly ultraviolet light aging. For example, the tensile strength of PE plastic film board after one week of aging in a natural environment at 80 ℃ under 30W ultraviolet light from a UV lamp supplier shows that the general application temperature has little direct impact on its aging characteristics, However, the harm of ultraviolet light is relatively significant, but under the practical effect of both heat and ultraviolet light, there is a synergistic aging effect.
The PE protective film is not firmly adhered to the protected product, causing it to fall off during transportation and use. The reason for this problem is exactly the opposite to the previous one. The most likely reason is that the pressure sensitive adhesive used in the production of the protective film product is not viscous enough. Another possibility is that the pressure of the molding machine used by the user during the molding process is insufficient, or the surface of the profile is not clean, with dust or paint, etc, This has affected the adhesion effect of the sensitive adhesive. If this problem occurs, it is necessary to address the cause and take appropriate measures. Replace the sensitive adhesive to increase the film pressure, or pay attention to effective cleaning of the surface of the profile during film application to avoid such problems.
After using the protective film for a period of time, it performs well in the middle, but the wings at both ends rise. The main reason for this phenomenon is that the protective film has a high degree of stretching during the bonding process with the protected profile. After bonding, there is unnecessary retraction phenomenon when encountering high temperature environments. This problem often occurs in products from customers in the south. Therefore, when producing PE protective films, attention should be paid to the impact of environmental temperature differences on product use, Avoid unnecessary surface stretching during the pasting process.
